![]() Of course, sometimes the answer is to accept that you're got going to be accurate and shoot anyway. ![]() Your movement penalizes your accuracy, especially if you sprint or jump, though frequently you want to anyway. Kicking evasive mechs to zero their evasion is one of those techniques. To get good chances to hit relies on understanding the modifiers that are giving bad chances and knowing how to work them. Some pilot abilities can make a bigger difference, but mostly activated ones (Battlelord, weapon master abilities, Target Prediction, and the venerable Sensor Lock). My mid-level pilots still have lousy chances to hit small high-evasion targets with basic weapons. You're getting 1% per level from gunnery, and while that's not nothing it doesn't really change the picture when you're operating at under 40% to hit. I doubt anybody told you BTA was going to make your gameplay faster.ĪFAICT contrary to common comments, pilot skill doesn't make that much difference to fire accuracy. Even when it is in some sense going faster (and crits can make things happen fast indeed), the larger number of units you're managing make a big time sink. If your view of BT is that it's unsatisfactorily slow, you probably should never have touched BTA. How after all these years can they still not get it right as they did back then. Mechcommander Gold was an amazing game that just worked well. Mechs are supposed to be fancy future military weapons not a broken toyota corolla. I want to kill mechs and play not watch them stand around there doing effectively nothing for hours until my stats might get enough to hit something occasionally. the issue wasn't being bad or good the issue is the game over does the rules and obsessive stats which ends up being just a boring grind. You have discussed having problems in story fixed missions that no one else seems to have no problems with. overall you seem to be a bad player you should avoid any mod that increases the difficulty. People find this fun? at least the Vanilla BT they occasionally hit something. One of my mechs was bugged from the start and couldn't even move the whole mission. Shops no longer seem to sell mechs only Tanks and battle armour and all sorts of useless weapons that cost money each shot. So i spent 50 turns moving 5 of my little mechs around occasionally trying to use skills that literally did nothing and then i'd watch the enemies miss miss miss? I had them as close as they could get and still miss miss. My first mission i was over whelmed with enemies and every pilot i had was miss miss miss. How to make A slow game even more slower.
